Engagement Type: Project-based, commission on delivered milestones
We’re looking for an AI Engineer to build and ship automation workflows, AI agents, and custom integrations for client projects on a per-project basis. You’ll work directly with the delivery team to scope, build, and deploy solutions, then move to the next project once each is live.
What you’ll do:
- Design and build AI-powered automation workflows (support automation, internal tooling, agentic pipelines) for client projects
- Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) into existing client systems and internal tools
- Prototype quickly, validate with the client, then productionize the working version
- Document each build clearly enough that our team can maintain it after handoff
- Estimate effort and timeline for new project requests before they’re accepted
What we’re looking for:
- Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs, vector databases, and agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent)
- Comfortable working independently across Python and at least one backend web framework
- A portfolio of shipped automation or AI-integration projects you can walk us through
- Able to turn a vague client request into a scoped, estimable piece of work
Compensation structure:
Paid per project on a milestone basis (e.g. scoping approved, working prototype delivered, production deployment complete), with the exact split agreed before each project starts. Rate scales with project complexity and is discussed case by case.
